I am an Assistant Professor in Animal Welfare with a research and teaching role. The goal of my lab is to evaluate how farm practices affect animal behavior, physiology and productivity, and develop strategies to optimize these outcomes. My current focus is on sheep welfare, but I welcome collaborations in other species.

I am an Assistant Professor. My research broadly explores companion animal and human behavior and welfare from a One Welfare approach— acknowledging the interconnectedness of human wellbeing and animal welfare.

I am an Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in Animal Welfare. My research focuses on understanding and improving dairy animal welfare, particularly by identifying low-barrier solutions.
Please note I do not have openings for new graduate students in my lab for the 2025-2026 academic year. If opportunities arise in the future, I will update this site.
