Ph.D. exit seminar delivered!
On Friday, April 3, I presented my Ph.D. exit seminar “Understanding dairy cow behavior to reduce heat load and conserve water” as part of the 2015 Spring ABGG Seminar Series at U.C. Davis.
Here is the video of my seminar (1:00:42), which the students who run The Ethogram (the Animal Behavior graduate group’s official blog) graciously recorded and overlaid with my slides.
I really enjoy public speaking, and was excited to share all the results of many years of hard work. I was so honored and moved by the introduction my advisor (Dr. Cassandra Tucker) gave, and I hope to continue to live up to her kind words! Afterward, I received lots of interesting questions from the audience – which included many friends and family from both near and far. I will be defending my dissertation later this year, and I was very proud to share my research findings with everyone.
