Allie Andrukonis
Assistant Professor
Allie Andrukonis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Allie earned her B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences and B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Animal Science from Texas Tech University. She conducted her postdoctoral research in the Applied Animal Behavior and Welfare Group at Virginia Tech. Her research broadly explores companion animal and human behavior and welfare from a One Welfare approach— acknowledging the interconnectedness of human wellbeing and animal welfare. Her research has two general aims: 1) improve animal health and welfare by addressing behavioral and health concerns, and 2) improve animal care employee wellbeing by identifying and addressing workplace stressors.
