Yoonsuk Lee

Yoonsuk Lee, DVM, earned his veterinary degree in 2017 from Konkuk University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he also earned an MS in Veterinary Microbiology in 2021. He practiced as a bovine veterinarian in South Korea until 2021, then completed a residency in Dairy Production Medicine at the University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine from 2021-2024. At UC-Davis, he earned a Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Dr. Lee joined the Van Os lab as a PhD student in fall 2024. He is conducting novel research to compare the effects of pre-weaning pair vs. individual housing of dairy calves on microbiome development, biomarkers of stress during weaning, physiological and behavioral responses to transport stress, and long-term cross-sucking behavior and mammary gland development.
